The course is designed to provide students and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the hearing mechanism, etiologies of hearing loss, the diagnosis of hearing loss, hearing assessment and audiological evaluation and interpretation and the transmission of sound (physics of sound).  Focus will be placed on the application of this information to provide the most effective instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
